DR. VERONIKA MELEG

Dr. Veronika Meleg is a trainee lawyer, graduated from Pázmány Péter Catholic University Faculty of Law and Political Sciences, where she obtained her 'summa cum laude' degree in 2022.

During her studies, her interests began to focus mainly on criminal law and administrative law, first as a demonstrator and later as a member of the Scientific Students' Association. In 2021, as a result of her research, she was awarded 3rd place in the National Conference of Scientific Students' Association Section of Law and Political Sciences, Criminal Law Section, for his thesis on the issues of justifiable defense.

In 2021, she was awarded a scholarship for five months from the New National Excellence Programme, during which she conducted research on the institution of victim consent.

In addition to gaining practical experience, she considers it's important to develop on the theoretical level, so since September 2022 she has been a scholarship holder for a Ph.D. at Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedural Law and Enforcement of Pázmány Péter Catholic University, where her research is focusing on the staging analysis of attempt and preparational acts.
